Kids and Alcohol: More than Fun and Games
with Dr. Richard Keller, Lake County Coroner
TUESDAY, April 15, 2008 12:45 – 2:30 New Trier
Northfield Campus, Room C234
Lake Co. Coroner Dr. Robert Keller brings his
insights and experience to the serious topic of adolescents and alcohol. Dr.
Keller had been an ER doctor for 20 years prior to his election to Coroner
in 2004, and firmly believes that public education is a crucial tool for
changing behavior. Alcohol problems are showing up among middle-school
students with greater frequency, and many parents simply do not realize the
pervasiveness of alcohol use in their communities. Come hear this compelling
speaker describe the neurological effects of alcohol, what he’s seen in the
ER, and why he believes in the power of community connection.
